The March against Violence (MAV) is a yearly event hosted by Desert Blue Connect. MAV 2017 will be held on November 24th at Stow Gardens, from 9am-11am.
The MAV aims to raise awareness of family violence and sexual assault, and promote healthy relationships. The event commences with inspiring and educational speakers who present on topics around family violence before participants commence a short march of Geraldton streets. It is a peaceful community event which also pays respects to the West Australians who die each year as a result of family violence. This year the time of the MAV is “Change starts here and now – let’s continue the conversation and challenge family violence so change will grow.”
