Tell us what your women's health and safety needs around sexual violence are

Desert Blue Connect is developing a three year Women’s Health and Sexual Violence Strategy and are seeking feedback from women in the Midwest region.

Why are we doing this?

It is important to Desert Blue Connect that we ensure continuous improvement in the health, safety and wellbeing of women and girls in the Midwest region, particularly those at greatest risk of poor health.  The best way for us to do this, is by consulting with the community around their needs.  It ensures we get an indication of the state of women’s health and safety, and what the gaps are as well as what is working well.

How can women get involved?

There are a number of options available for women to contribute to Desert Blue Connects three year women’s health and sexual violence strategy.

  1. An online survey is available and takes about 10 – 15 minutes to fill out. You can go into a draw to win a $100 Indah Health and Beauty Spa (optional).

This survey will be promoted at local women’s health events in the next few weeks.

2. Community forums will also be held in various locations in the Midwest

3. Youth conversations held in Geraldton and Morawa

4. Stakeholder workshop and/or interviews

To keep updated on these events please visit our website or the Women’s Health Program Facebook page.

We would encourage all women to find the time to fill out our survey or come to one of our community consultations – have your voice heard!
