Women’s Health Week is an annual Jean Hailes campaign that encourages women to put themselves first for a week and think about their health and wellbeing. Desert Blue Connect will be holding two events in the first week of September to coincide with Women’s Health Week.
We invite women to a “Looking after yourself” presentation and a tour of Desert Blue Connect on Tuesday 4th September. Sharon, our women’s health nurse will be talking about what it means to look after yourself, health checks you need at the GP, breast health and cervical screening testing. This session is free, starts at 1pm and finishes at 2:30pm, and will be held in our Studio at Desert Blue Connect, 28 Durlacher Street, Geraldton. All women are welcome.
We will also hold a women’s health information stall at the Stirling Shopping Centre (next to Woolworths) on Wednesday September 5th from 10am to 2pm. Sharon, will be available to talk on women’s health issues including breast awareness, cervical screening, pelvic floor, and sexual health. We have Jean Hailes Health bags to give away which includes their informative health magazine that they publish twice a year. Come along and see us there!
